ntl unveils series of broadband product initiatives to enhance competitiveness and cement broadband sector leadership
LONDON, 26 April, 2004 - ntl Incorporated (NASDAQ: NTLI) today unveiled a series of initiatives to enhance the competitiveness and strength of its broadband product range. The Company is the largest single provider of broadband services in the UK with over one million residential customers using its high quality service and has over 30% broadband market share.
ntl is boosting its three broadband services to higher speeds, at no extra cost to customers. This will provide a significant competitive advantage, offering the highest speeds in the high volume entry-level and mid-tier sectors, while at the high end, ntl will offer 50% more speed than the main providers of ADSL.
New speeds
At entry level, the 150Kbps service increases to 300Kbps (£17.99), the mid tier service increases from 600Kbps to 750Kbps (£24.99), while at the high end the 1Mb service increases to 1.5Mb (£37.99).

For those of you that didn't know, Telewest has announced it will be closing down its Blueyonder online gaming service on 5th November. Although this doesn't directly affect DMC, it is still another sad loss for the UK gaming communiuty as a whole.

Zapper.org.uk has moved to a brand spanking new web server. We have been promised this new Server is more powerful, faster and lot more stable. Hopefully this should mean the
end of the database problems that have happened in the past to the Player Stats and Web Site. Unfortunately it will take DNS up to a couple of days to catch up with the change and some of the site functions may not work correctly until the
change takes place. So please be patent if there are any bugs or broken links.

This past weekend we reached 10,000 page views at zapper.org.uk. Also in the same weekend HLStats recorded the forty thousandth player.
It’s a good sign that even though the DMC community may not be the biggest, it is still going strong.
