It seems as though everyone? has agreed on the map count for each division in the pool.
The divisions are :
1on1 - 12 maps
2on2 - 5 maps
4on4 - 5 maps - Only 2 custom maps allowed
So now we should begin discussing the actual maps to be played in each division.

i think the 1on1 map list looks almost finished already.

a mix of old qw id maps and the most popular old custom maps.the main thing i see is dmz1 is missing,which might cause problems.most people would go for dcdm5,although i think ultrav is more balanced ,especially having more armour...i dont no dead, have to down it and give it a spin.

alll these maps seem ok to me ,tho dm4 would be a bit chaotic ,tho i,m sure others will be brought up.i was thinking dmz1 again because it is simply massively popular,but with how wide open it is it might end up more as a chase than organised teamplay.
i dont no iether of the custom maps for 4on4 ,but will get them now.i was surprised that death32 was not in tho.that was always a excellent clan map.

Ok, we can probably add DMZ1 for 1on1. For 2on2 I think it might get a bit sloppy like you said.
Dead is a great map you should try it
Ultrav is good but we need a good conversion of it. The textures are lol. It needs a texture set like skull maybe.
What I would like to see :
All the maps in our pool retextured and add light tex's. Some of the one's that Dive have done have been and are very nice but some of the others have not, not sure who converted them. Like Ztndm3 it's a favorite map among duelers and it looks, well it could look a lot better IMO.
Has anyone seen the Q_ DMx maps that divebomber has done ? I personally love them. q1_dm2 and q1_dm6, they are quite dark but I think if he still has the .map files that he could fix them maybe add some colored lights or retexture with FUH texture set. Or maybe someone else could. I have converted and retextured Q2 maps for DMC but thtose are easy compared to Q1 maps, i'm not sure if I could do a Q1 map or not.
I would love to see q1 maps like dm2, dm4, dm6, e1m2, e1m5 converted, retextured and lit for DMC. One reason, i'm sick of the DMC textures. They get old after looking at them everyday for so long. I like colored lit textures. And the number one reason, the Q1 maps have the items placed in the right spots. Example - DM6 the 2 cell packs coming from GA to top area, in DMC_DM6 the cells are right in the middle of the cooridor, in Q1 DM6 they are off to the side and you can walk through the cooridor silently. Little things like that make a huge difference.
I agree with DM4 in 2on2. I think we could find a replacement easily enough, any ideas ?
E2M2 is really fun for 4on4. There is already a E2M2 for DMC if you want to check it out. E2M2TDM has just been optomized for teamplay.

1 on 1 map list (my favs + the most played maps in ladder's duels, i think)

Here are my preferences. Dont use to play spine and never played DEAD but if i have to learn it, it's allright with me.

dmz1 (2 rl, 3 armors, a good BIG MAP for "rest" of dm4's hell) although aerowalk it's good for me too.

The maps can be hopefully be retextured and texture lit. They would look a lot better. I don't expect anyone to agree with them how they are now. That is just something to think about later. Regular DMC maps for now.
I will put the maps in the rotation on my server. To change maps just type in console the name of the map.
If you want to change to dead just type dead in console that will start a vote. Or for DMC_DM2 just type dm2 in console. My new vote system is $$$

ALRIGHT a few things:
I have been in the process or converting the origional quake maps to dmc (for DME), with fuhquake & telejano textures, and new lighting that i did - screens have been up for a while (and look diff now than these screens)

BUT they are the q1 maps...and dont work well with dmc...as the ceilings are lower..and it just gets annyoing - SO what i think i'm gonna do in the next week or so is REDO the DMC maps with the textures and lighting that i did for those maps....
I already converted aerowalk way back before anyone else did it - although i am redoing it now (just started today) it should be done by tommorow - i'm redoing all the textures to the current fuhquake ones - they look sooo nice.... i'll post links to it afteri finish it...
The one i did isnt very dark, its very playable and it looks good - its kinda dark in this pic cause i resized it and lowered the quality for fast - loading sake and to lower the bandwidth for kad who has GRACIOUSLY given me ftp space as of several months ago - thanks KAD. btw your my hero...well trend is too...okay mr j also....damn it i love you all.
I also did DEAD, Strafin3 and Strafin6, although i am not happy with them now....i guess i'll redo those also
As for the map pools (why pool? i dont wonna swim in the maps! ?):

In my eyes are the maps above really good.
But i have a question.
Can someone make a new version of PKEG1 and maybe from AEROWALK
AERO is great but too dark, thats the only thing on AERO that suckt.
In PKEG1 are the collision-queries(i hope the right word, translatet whit google ) around the corner mad.
A player who try run near the corner will be really often stuck on it.
And thats really mad when a player are on ur but and u want collect armor/ weapons etc.

Wang's Aerowalk should be the one we use. I like it better it's called aerowalk, the other is q1_aerowalk.
Wang keep the maps coming. The best ztndm3 I have seen is the one posted above by Carbon - Bloodcore
And one more thing. Maybe remove Spine from the list, after I looked at it some more it looks better suited for 2on2 not 1on1.
Ultrav needs retextured very badly, yuck ! And the floating flames on the walls gotta go, lol - The only map I ever liked the the egyptian textures was a version of endif.
