A new version of Metamod has been released: 1.17.1. Notable changes in this version are listed below.
- Additional entities for DoD 1.1, Sven Coop 3.0, Digital Paintball 2.1, The Specialits Beta 2.1, StargateTC Beta 1.1, International Soccer Online 3.0, Firearms 2.9
- Added MOD recognition and entities for Hostile Intent 1.1, Natural Selection Beta 3.0, Rocket Crowbar 2, Counter-Strike:Condition Zero.
- Added MOD recognition for CS13.
- On Windows Steam servers, extract the gamedll file from the cache file if it is missing in the dlls directory.

ntl unveils series of broadband product initiatives to enhance competitiveness and cement broadband sector leadership
LONDON, 26 April, 2004 - ntl Incorporated (NASDAQ: NTLI) today unveiled a series of initiatives to enhance the competitiveness and strength of its broadband product range. The Company is the largest single provider of broadband services in the UK with over one million residential customers using its high quality service and has over 30% broadband market share.
ntl is boosting its three broadband services to higher speeds, at no extra cost to customers. This will provide a significant competitive advantage, offering the highest speeds in the high volume entry-level and mid-tier sectors, while at the high end, ntl will offer 50% more speed than the main providers of ADSL.
New speeds
At entry level, the 150Kbps service increases to 300Kbps (£17.99), the mid tier service increases from 600Kbps to 750Kbps (£24.99), while at the high end the 1Mb service increases to 1.5Mb (£37.99).

The best thing to happen to Deathmatch Classic since Rocket and Duel Arena is finally here. Trend*Killer
has released the new version of DMC Pro, which now includes Capture the Flag. Already
there are plenty of CTF servers online waiting for you to play on.

Entering the Game
As players enter the server, they are divided into red and blue teams. It is
possible to damage members of your own team by attacking them, but be careful
and you can still damage yourself with the splash damage from rockets or
grenades. CTF has a features which allows you to choose your team upon joining,
which is extremely useful for setting up organized team games. Depressing 1 will
select the Red Team, 2 the Blue Team, and 5 will auto-select a team for you.
Object of the Game
The object of the game is simple. Grab the flag from the enemy's base; bring it
home to your own base; touch it to your flag. Successfully touching the enemy's
flag to your own results in a capture, the highest scoring action in the game.
There are a few additional important things to note about flags. First of all,
players carrying a flag tend to stand out, the flag is actually attached to them
as they attempt to carry it home. Second, when a flag-carrier is fragged, the
flag flies from his body. If a teammate picks up the flag, that teammate becomes
the flag-carrier. If an enemy touches the flag, the flag is recovered and
returns instantly to his base.
Scoring Model
Capturing always results in the player who captured gaining 10 points. Fragging
an enemy team member is worth 1 point, Recovering your flag is worth 1 point and
picking up an enemie flag is worth 1 point.
Winning the level
Upon reaching a certain time limit or maximum frag limit, the server will change
levels.
Misc.
Finally, there are a few game modifications which are vital to good CTF play.
The most important is the grappling hook (bind a key to +hook), with which you
can reach otherwise awkward or impossible locations with ease. You can talk to
your teammates privately by using MESSAGEMODE2 (bound to a key) or the SAY_TEAM
console command.

Press release from the Adminmod website:-
We have released a new version of Admin Mod: 2.50.59. The main reason for this update were the crashes of Linux servers caused by a recent Steam update. The server engine interface was changed in a way making it incompatible with the one of 311x servers. Thus you will need binaries of Metamod and its plugins which are specially compiled for either a 311x (Non-Steam) or a 112x (Steam) server. The normal Admin Mod is targeted at Steam servers. If you run a 311x Linux server then you have to get replacement binaries for Admin Mod and Metamod which we provide on our
